Biography:

Andreas Brandt began studying biology at the University of Halle in 1954.
In 1955 he moved to West Berlin, where he studied art under Ernst Schumacher at the Berlin School of Fine Arts until 1961.
Then he worked as a freelance painter and was a professor of textile design at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts from 1982 to 2001.
In 1970 he was a guest lecturer at the HfbK Berlin.

Andreas Brandt was a member of the German Association of Artists, in whose annual exhibitions he participated eight times between 1966 and 1980.

He lived and worked in Niebüll from 1986.
